Privacy Policy
Last updated 14 September 2026
Polaris (polaris.glie.ai) is the internal operating platform of Glie ("glie", "we", "us"), a technology studio. Only glie staff use it: access is by invitation, through Google sign-in with a glie.ai account.
This policy covers two kinds of data: the social media accounts glie staff connect to Polaris to publish glie's own posts, and the people who sign in to Polaris. How glie handles messages sent to its customer support and the data in its products is described in glie's privacy policy.
Connected accounts
A member of glie staff connects an account glie owns or manages, through the platform's own consent screen. For each platform, Polaris accesses and stores:
- Facebook Pages — the Pages the person manages: each Page's id, name and Page access token.
- Instagram — the Instagram professional account linked to each of those Pages: its id and username, and the Page access token used to publish to it.
- YouTube — the channel's id, title and handle, the access and refresh tokens Google issues, and the permissions granted.
- TikTok — the account's open_id and display name, and the access and refresh tokens TikTok issues.
- LinkedIn — the LinkedIn Pages the person administers: each Page's identifier and name, and the tokens LinkedIn issues.
For each account, staff also record the market it serves and its time zone. For each post Polaris publishes, it stores the id and the link the platform returns.
Polaris uses these connections only to publish glie's posts to those accounts and to confirm that each post went out: it reads the status of an upload it made and the link of the post it created. It does not read analytics, insights, comments, followers or messages.
YouTube
Polaris uses YouTube API Services. Through them it reads the connected channel's id, title and handle, uploads the videos glie publishes, and reads the processing status of the videos it uploaded.
By using Polaris's YouTube features you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. Google's handling of your data is described in the Google Privacy Policy. You can revoke Polaris's access to your YouTube data at any time on the Google security settings page.
People who sign in
When a member of staff signs in, Polaris keeps their name, email address and profile picture from Google. It also keeps what they choose to add — a connected GitHub account (its username, id, avatar and tokens), the city shown with their local weather, their time zone and their notification preferences — and the work they do in Polaris.
Where it is kept
In glie's own database, on Google Cloud servers in the European Union (Belgium). The images and videos of posts are kept in Google Cloud Storage, in the same region. Access, refresh and Page tokens are encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM, and are used only to call the platform that issued them.
Who it is shared with
Google Cloud, which hosts Polaris, and each platform, which receives the posts glie publishes to it. No one else. We do not sell personal data, and Polaris shows no ads. Its pages load their typefaces from Google Fonts, which receives your browser's IP address when they do.
Cookies and device storage
Polaris sets a session cookie when a member of staff signs in, and a short-lived cookie that protects a connection while it passes through a platform's consent screen. The app keeps display preferences in the browser, and a copy of its icons so that it can be installed. It uses no advertising or analytics cookies.
Removing access and deleting data
Disconnecting an account in Polaris deletes its tokens at once, and for YouTube also revokes Polaris's access at Google. The account's identifier and name, and the ids and links of the posts already published through it, stay as the record of what was published. You can also remove Polaris's access in each platform's own settings — for Google, on the security settings page.
To have everything Polaris holds about an account deleted, email privacy@glie.ai. We delete it within 7 days. The steps are on the data deletion page.
Why we use it, and your rights
We use the data of connected accounts to run glie's own social media, which is our legitimate interest, and the data of staff to provide the tool they work with. Depending on where you live (including under the EU GDPR and Brazil's LGPD), you may ask us to access, correct or delete your personal data, or to stop using it, by emailing privacy@glie.ai. We answer within 30 days. You can also complain to your data protection authority — in Portugal, the CNPD.
Contact and changes
